Our gasketed heat exchangers feature an innovative gasket shape which provides better pressure dispersion and tightening of the plate pack across the gasket. This unique gasket design is patented internationally, allows for higher pressures (up to 50 bar), has a longer service life, and better leak protection while still being able to be easily maintained.

The advantage of a plate heat exchanger over a tubular heat exchanger is the use of corrugated plates increases the liquid turbulence to a low Reynolds number. The liquids counter-flow within the PHE promoting heat transfer efficiency that is typically several times higher than a shell & tube heat exchanger. Available in welded or gasketed designs for various applications such as marine oil cooler, HTST (high temperature, short time) systems, or waste heat recovery. Tubular Heat Exchanger & Plate Heat Exchanger Comparison

Each plate heat exchanger, spiral heat exchanger, or shell & plate heat exchanger is manufactured by DHP for your application to ensure compact size, adequate heat transfer, and lower cost. With an in-house technical engineering team, custom engineered applications are also available for unique applications that may fall outside of our typical product offerings. Other manufacturer’s standard gasketed heat exchangers can only typically support 20 to 30 bar. However, our heat exchangers with our patented “Double Sealing” gasket can support high operating pressures up to 50 bar and temperatures up to 250°C.

Single Pass heat exchanger units has a counter flow layout and the nozzle is mounted on a fixed frame which allows for easy maintenance and an increase or decrease in capacity.

PHE | Multi Pass Layout

The advantage of a Multi Pass heat exchanger unit is that the heat transfer can be increased significantly by designing both the hot side and cold side to be Multi Pass. However, the piping of the nozzle in the movable frame would need to be corrected when expanding the heat exchanger capacity.

Single Pass & Multi Pass heat exchanger units are suitable when there is a large difference between the inlet and outlet temperatures and the allowable pressure drop between the hot side and cold side is also different. The performance and heat transfer coefficient of this heat exchanger can be enhanced by making one side a Single Pass and the other side a Multi Pass.

DHP’s in-house quality assurance system and strict quality inspection program using the latest equipment ensures that our products are delivered at the utmost quality. The entire manufacturing process starting from the warehousing of raw materials, to the stamping and machining of the heat exchanger plates, painting, and to the final inspection is controlled in-house to ensure quality products.

 

In 2007, DHP completed a full-size test facility for research and development of new products, evaluate heat transfer capacities, and to test for internal and external leakages from pressure surges. DHP’s manufacturing facility is ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certified and have approval certificates from classification societies such as ASME, BV, and RINA.
