Packaged Wastewater Treatment System | Compact Skid-Mounted Design
Our Packaged Wastewater Treatment Systems (Vapor Compression Distillers and Mechanical Vapor Recompression) are used for the distillation of sea water, brackish water, contaminated ground water, and plant process wastewater through an effective heat pump system. Our pre-engineered, pre-assembled, skid-mounted packaged wastewater treatment systems use vapor compression distillation as a simple and efficient method of producing a constant supply of high quality fresh water with minimal energy consumption. The evaporation technologies in our vapor compression distillers and mechanical vapor recompression systems utilize a specially designed turbo compressor for energy efficient production of high purity water for drinking or for reusing in industrial applications.
Unlike other water treatment systems, such as a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system, a vapor compression distiller does not require chemical dosing, pre-treatment, post-treatment, or periodic replacement of parts. This results in lower operational costs, maintenance, and less installation space due to fewer components required while still being able to provide effective water treatment. Our vapor compression distiller and mechanical vapor recompression systems also allow for brine disposal and is compatible with Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) technology.
Our pre-assembled compact design focuses on small installation space, ease of maintenance, reliability, and energy efficiency. Special considerations have been made during the design process of our distillation systems to minimize the installation footprint, required servicing area, and equipment required for maintenance. All major components on our vapor compression distiller (VCD) and mechanical recompression evaporators (MVR) are designed to be easily accessible.
Our packaged wastewater treatment systems are pre-assembled and factory-tested to ensure optimal performance and reduced installation times. Heavy lifting equipment such as overhead cranes are not necessary since any handling required of the gearbox or compressor can be performed using a rotatable davit. If servicing to the heat exchanger is necessary, the plate heat exchanger used allows for time-saving repair and maintenance by using an upper guide bar roller. Since the heat exchanger is manufactured in-house, replacement components are always readily available and the design layout allows for simple replacement of the heat exchanger plates or gaskets minimizing downtime.
VCD & MVR Optimized Installation and Maintenance Space
If a single unit does not satisfy the fresh water requirements of an application, our modular system allows for tiling-up of multiple units to meet the required capacity for water treatment. Our space-saving design fits in a standard 20’ft high cube container enabling a mobile vapor compression distillation system. As freshwater requirements increase, additional units can be conveniently added to meet operational requirements for treating wastewater.

Skid-Mounted Wastewater Treatment | PLC Monitoring and Control
Our innovative packaged wastewater treatment systems are also automated. Each unit features multi-functional programmable logic controller (PLC) and human machine interface (HMI). The user-friendly interface allows for simple operation and monitoring of the vapor compression distiller unit to ensure that all systems are functioning properly.
Skid-mounted wastewater treatment systems allow for simple delivery, setup, and expansion of distillation capacity using additional packaged wastewater treatment units.

Energy Efficient Wastewater Treatment | Sea Water & Industrial Process Wastewater
The design of our vapor compression distiller systems for the distillation of sea water, brackish water, contaminated ground water, industrial wastewater and process water are very energy efficient through an effective heat pump system for low specific energy consumption. Specially designed turbo compressors allows for efficient production of high purity water for drinking or reuse in industrial applications.
Other than in-house testing, our vapor compression distillers have been tested by accredited institutions such as the Korea Institute of Energy Research for energy efficiency and also the Korea Chemical Test Institute for chemical analysis of treated wastewater to ensure high purity condensate. Each vapor compression distillation model has a high coefficient of performance (COP) resulting in low operational costs with the cost of treated condensate water as low as USD $4 to $5 per ton. A coefficient of performance (COP) of greater than 20 is typically seen with our single VCD systems whereas a single stage distillation system may only have a coefficient of performance of 1.
