Rotary joints are used to transfer media from a stationary source to rotating machinery. Applications include the transfer of steam, water, hydraulic fluid, thermal oil, glycol, coolant, and air. Rotary Unions and Swivel Joints | Fixed, Stationary Source

Rotary unions are used to transfer media from a stationary source to rotating machinery. Swivel joints are used for connecting fixed pipes with rotating pipes, fixed pipes with linear action pipes, and linear action pipes with rotating pipes. Typical transfer media for rotary unions and swivel joints include water, air, hydraulic oil, steam, hot oil, sour gas, coolant, and MQL.

 

LPR Global’s rotary unions and swivel joints are produced in South Korea at an ISO9001 certified facility. Joints are designed to meet ABS, DNV, DHV high pressure, and DNV welding standards.

Rotary Unions Overview

Custom and standard rotary couplings are used to transfer liquids, air, and gases while rotating or swiveling from a stationary source to and from rotating machinery. Whether you require a single passage or a multiple passage rotary joint, we are able to supply standard and custom-made rotary unions for your specific application.

 

The advantage of a multiple port rotary union is having an option to transfer more than one type of fluid medium through a single rotary coupling.

 

Some of the applications that we cover are rotary unions for tooling machines, automotive jigs, industrial machinery, and industrial plants.

 

Sealing options include silicon-carbide, spherical, mechanical, and balanced sealing options. Using a balanced seal guarantees low friction during high speed rotation and high pressure operations which makes this type of seal ideal for offshore, chemical, and marine applications.

 

We supply a wide series of rotary joints specifically designed for high speed, high pressure, and high or low temperature operations. Customized extra high pressure models for hydraulic expanding shaft rotary joints and high pressure rotary unions for pressures over 15,000 PSI are also available.
