Mini/Micro RFID Metal Tag
LPR Global’s Metal RFID tags are designed to overcome disadvantages of traditional RFID tags when attached to metallic surfaces.
Traditional RFID tags may encounter signaling issues when attached to metallic surfaces due to interference of backscatter caused by the reflection of energy waves emitted by the RFID reader on metal, or a dipole antenna of an RFID on a metal surface causing an electrical short. This could lead to a short signal range, phantom reads, or no read signals at all. Although the traditional solution is to implement a spacer to reduce interference, this makes the tag itself larger, bulkier and impractical.
LPR Global’s Metal RFID tags uses innovative antennae technology to overcome metal interference on the tag, while maintaining a compact size. Potential uses of Mini Metal RFID Tags include metal asset management in the iron and steel industry, tool tracking, weapon tracking, and medical device quality control.

Magnetic Metal RFID Tag
Magnetic RFID Tags are suitable for tagging metal assets. LPR Global’s magnetic metal tags’ antennae are made of a combination of Cu and FR-4 grade epoxy laminate. Due to the properties of FR-4 grade material which include effective electrical insulation, high mechanical strength, and minimal water absorption, our magnetic metal RFID tags are waterproof, chemically resistant, heat-resistant and durable in harsh industrial environments.
