High Temperature Metal RFID Tags

LPR Global’s RFID Tags operate in the Ultra-High Frequency range, from 860 MHz to 960 MHz enabling a longer read range than other types of RFID tags. Our RFID Tags are specially constructed to suit specific purposes. From using an FR-4 Grade flame retardant laminate for heat-resistant RFID tags, to creating a flexible RFID tag by implementing a substrate made of PET, we manufacture RFID tags built for almost any situation. High temperatures, irregular surfaces, chemical exposure, metal and liquid assets, our RFID tags are able to accurately and reliably track assets.

Mini/Micro RFID Metal Tag

LPR Global’s Metal RFID tags are designed to overcome disadvantages of traditional RFID tags when attached to metallic surfaces.

Traditional RFID tags may encounter signaling issues when attached to metallic surfaces due to interference of backscatter caused by the reflection of energy waves emitted by the RFID reader on metal, or a dipole antenna of an RFID on a metal surface causing an electrical short. This could lead to a short signal range, phantom reads, or no read signals at all. Although the traditional solution is to implement a spacer to reduce interference, this makes the tag itself larger, bulkier and impractical.

LPR Global’s Metal RFID tags uses innovative antennae technology to overcome metal interference on the tag, while maintaining a compact size. Potential uses of Mini Metal RFID Tags include metal asset management in the iron and steel industry, tool tracking, weapon tracking, and medical device quality control.
