Membrane Filtration and Separation | Anti-Fouling Wastewater Membrane Filtration

Membrane Filtration Systems for Microfiltration (MF), Ultrafiltration (UF) and Nanofiltration (NF) Specialized to Prevent Fouling in High-Solid, High-Density and High-Viscosity Applications.

This Membrane Filtration Equipment Separates, Concentrates and Clarifies wastewater and industrial fluids from macromolecular to micro-molecular particles with minimal fouling. The FMX Membrane Filtration and Separation System allows for greatly reduced downtime due from fouling while removing the need for expensive and harsh chemical backwashing of waste water filtration equipment.
Anti-Fouling Membrane Filtration and Separation Systems

The FMX Membrane Filtration and Separation System is ideal for high fouling applications, where Ultrafiltration was previously thought impossible

Membrane Filtration and Separation | How FMX Can Reduce Operating Costs and Downtime

Traditional wastewater membrane filtration and separation technologies are not always suitable for high viscosity and high-solids applications, often suffering from frequent fouling, causing downtime and increasing maintenance costs. Replacing parts is expensive and chemical backwashes, while slowing down your operation, also incur costs in both purchasing and disposal.

FMX provides long-term economic benefits while improving the filtration, separation, concentration, and recovery of wastewater and solids in your chemical processing, bio-tech, pharmaceutical, or food and beverage filtration applications.

  • High-Fouling Resistance = Less Flushing, Chemical Cleaning, or Membrane Replacement
  • High Permeate Flow Rate = Higher Throughput
  • High Recovery Rate = Simplified Process in a Single Pass with High Feed Solid
  • High Dependability = Less Downtime and Replacement Parts

Membrane Wastewater Filtration | Applications for FMX Membrane Filtration and Separation

An Effective Solution For:

  • Wastewater Treatment – livestock, municipal, landfill leachate, anaerobic digester effluent
  • Chemical processing – Nano particle recovery / concentration, fertilizer clarification
  • Manufacturing – Paper coating effluent recovery / concentration, precious metal recovery
  • Mining & Metals – Clay dewatering / recovery, calcium carbonate dewatering / recovery
  • Bio-tech & Pharmaceuticals – biogas production, nano metals, bacterial recovery
  • Food & Beverage – tank bottom recovery, beverage concentration / filtration / clarification
  • Oil & Gas – waste oil re-refining, recovery, selenium removal

Membrane Wastewater Filtration | How FMX Membrane Filtration and Separation Works

The system makes use of Karman Vortices to generate strong turbulence over the surface of the membrane, preventing the membranes from fouling. This is done by using energy efficient rotating blades between membrane surfaces, carrying away foulants into the feed stream. The bodies of the blades are made with lightweight plastics specially designed to resist chemicals and corrosion.

The system is modular, made up of membrane modules which can be stacked together for extra capacity to create a block. The system can be taken apart for service on-site, providing you with quick and easy repairs to only the damaged components.
