Fiber reinforced engineering plastics (FRPs) are commonly used as an ideal lightweight substitute for several compression and metal molded thermoset parts in the automotive industry. Due to FRPs’ complicated requirements for management of temperature, pressure and molding time and physical property of the resin, typical hot runner systems do not meet the specific needs of clients using the FRPs. IPEC specializes in designing and manufacturing customized cost-effective hot runner systems to produce engineering plastics, particularly fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) grades and super-engineering plastics.
