Virtual Fence | IVSS Product Overview
The Intelligent Video Surveillance System (IVSS) includes proprietary software and hardware that works in concert with a variety of virtual fence sensors, security cameras, intrusion detection technologies and other components of your perimeter intrusion detection security installations to provide a robust virtual fence. The Intelligent Video Surveillance System is ideal for nuclear facilities, water treatment plants, construction sites, hazardous materials areas, force protection situations, and any other circumstance that requires added protection against intruders. This virtual fence system compliments traditional fences including chain link, vinyl, wrought iron, steel, barbed wire, razor wire and other structures.
Virtual Fence Security
The Securenics’ IVSS can monitor up to 640 virtual fences lines through 16 cameras connected to a central server. Combined with Securenics’ PIDSFence (sensor fence), this system provides a comprehensive and effective perimeter security intrusion detection solution. By establishing virtual fence lines preceding a digital fence, alerts are generated prior to an actual intrusion and advanced notification is given ‘before’ the intrusion occurs with pin point accuracy.
IVSS can automate any CCTV system, thereby reducing the need for manual surveillance of video feeds by operators at a significant cost savings.
Virtual Fence Mobility
IVSS’ user-friendly interface enables quick setup and reconfiguration of virtual fence lines. The system also has a masking feature that allows the creation of free entry and exit zones within the virtual fence perimeter. This feature is useful for applications that require mobility or whose boundaries change frequently. Construction sites are a prime example where boundaries change on daily basis. Reconfiguring a physical fence on a daily basis can be costly and time consuming. In comparison, IVSS can be reconfigured instantaneously without any cost.
Likewise, for mobile initiatives that require the need for establishing a secure perimeter on the go, such as Mobile Military units, IVSS provides an ideal perimeter intrusion detection solution. Users can assemble and disassemble the system in a matter of minutes, thereby making it a perfect fit for mobile users.
Virtual Fence Flexibility
Securenics’ IVSS is a highly customizable and open system that provides system users the flexibility of specifying the kind of objects that need to be detected within the virtual fence perimeter as well as the characteristics of an object’s movement and direction. Securenics provides APIs to enable the integration of IVSS with the existing security system.
