Microducts | The Ultimate HDPE Ducts for Cable Blown Fiber Optics
High density polyethylene pipe (HDPE) and micro ducting for fiber optic cables boasts exceptional low friction performance, ideal for cable blowing and the telecommunications industry. A wide variety of coatings and materials provide protection from any physical environment. With a massive selection of duct sizes, diameters, wall construction, and a wide array of colors to choose from, there is a product for every application.
Check out the wide variety of fiber ducts and micro ducts available below.
| Direct Buried Microduct | Direct Burial | Direct Buried Microducts are recommended for direct burial in prepared ground. Resistant to crushing and flexing, these cables also use a metallic or non-metallic moisture barrier and flexible HDPE.
• Double sheath for improved crush and bending resistance
• Low friction internal coating for maximum fiber blowing distance
• Custom styles, markings and colors available
| Direct Buried Microduct |
| Direct Install Microduct | Direct Install | Recommended for use in ducts and subducts, these microducts are surrounded by a layer of metallic or non-metallic moisture-barrier and flexible sheath of black PE. Low friction internal coating for maximum fiber blowing distance.
• Low friction internal coating
• Can be customized (style, markings, color)
| Direct Install Microduct |
| Thick Walled Microduct | Thick Walled | Designed in bundles for direct burial, thick walled microducts do not require a protective duct and can be branched off easily as a single direct-buried microduct. A further benefit of this system is that it does not require fiber closures, using only simple connectors to branch off microducts. See our downloadable spec sheet for various diameters and colors.
• High crush resistance (up to 2500 N)
• Simple to connect and branch
• Ideal for slot cutting or micro-trenching
| Thick Walled Microduct |
| PVC Filled Microduct | PVC Filled Microduct | The tube bundle is surrounded by PVC filler and a flexible sheath. The outer sheath is rugged PE providing maximum protection against the outside environment. This system provides a better water blocked solution and low thermal length changes.
• Easy to install
• Minimum thermal length changes
• Strong and rugged in all conditions
• Very long lifespan
| PVC Filled Microduct |
| Low-smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) Microduct | LSZH Microduct | Surrounded in a Low-smoke and halogen free material, these microducts have excellent performance in a fire and do not emit the hazardous gasses as do traditional materials.
• Flame retardant (IEC 60332 Part 1&3)
• Low smoke emissions
• Contains no halogens
• Low friction internal coating for maximum fiber blowing distance
| Low smoke Zero Halogen Microduct |
| Aerial Microduct | Aerial Microduct | Developed to facilitate the use of fiber optic drop cable. Figure-8 aerial ducts can withstand several times their stringing tension before breaking and can withstand high winds or bad weather.
• Figure eight design keeps the strength member and tube bundles separate
• High-UV resistance for outdoor use
